ZTE launched the ZTE Axon 20 5G, the world’s first under-screen camera phone. This means that the phone is completely free of the protrusion and cracks that we have seen recently with modern smartphones such as Apple and Samsung phones and others, and instead the phone has a full screen that includes the front camera below.
Here is a review of the ZTE Axon 20 5G smartphone:
The Axon 20 5G comes with dimensions of 172.1 x 77.9 x 8 mm and a weight of 198 grams, and it is equipped with an aluminum frame with a glass layer on the back and another glass layer on the front.
On the front there is a full screen completely free of cracks and it includes the front camera and fingerprint sensor underneath, and on the back there is a quad camera setup paired with a flash.
On the right side, you will find the volume control buttons in addition to the power button, while the bottom part houses the charging port, the dual SIM slot and the audio slots, and there is no 3.5 mm port.
The phone does not support any standard for water resistance, and it is available in black, gold, blue and purple.
The Axon 20 5G screen is one of the coolest screens you will see, and this is because it is 6.92 inches and a resolution of 1080 x 2460 pixels at a rate of 388 pixels per inch, and most importantly, it supports One billion color!
The screen comes at a refresh rate of 90 Hz with an aspect ratio of 20.5: 9, as it accounts for 84.8% of the total area of the phone.
Screen performance is generally considered excellent for gaming or multimedia issues. However, the level of illumination is 400 nits and there is no feature to raise the maximum level of illumination, and this may bother some users when using the phone in places with high lighting.
But in general, the screen is beautiful and saturated with colors to provide you with a more than wonderful experience when playing or watching anything.
The smartphone comes with a quad-camera setup on the back, installed vertically in the form of a rectangle, and features a 64-megapixel main camera with an f / 1.8 lens slot, an 8-megapixel wide-angle camera with an f / 2.2 lens slot, in addition to a 2-megapixel macro camera with a lens slot f / 2.4, and a 2-megapixel depth camera with f / 2.4 lens slot. The camera setup comes in conjunction with a dual-LED flash.
The rear camera setup supports auto focus, panorama, HDR, digital stabilizer, and portraiture, and supports 4K video shooting at 30/60 frames per second, or 1080p at 30 frames per second.
As for the front camera, it comes with a 32-megapixel camera with an f / 2.0 lens slot. This camera comes hidden under the screen, above which is a transparent OLED layer with some pixels at a lower resolution, and this is to hide the front camera box from the rest of the screen. With this, you will see the front camera square noticeably below the screen when opening any white page.
As for the performance of the front camera, it is very good for the first phone to display this technology.
The front camera supports HDR technology in addition to shooting videos at 1080p at 30 frames per second.
The Axon 20 5G is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 765G octa-core processor with 7 nm manufacturing technology, and this processor is considered one of the best mid-range processors and supports the fifth generation network. The phone also supports Adreno 620 graphics processor.
As for the performance of the processor, it is fast and smooth even when pressed intensely with games or multimedia.
In addition to the processor, the phone supports the Android 10 operating system based on the MiFavor 10.5 user interface, and this interface is somewhat close to the Android system and this is a point that counts for the company.
The phone includes random memory with a capacity of 6 GB or 8 GB, and internal memory with a capacity of 128 GB or 256 GB, and can be expanded with an external microSDXC memory.
The phone supports Wi-Fi 802.11, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS and NFC.
As for the battery, it has a capacity of 4220 mAh and provides you with about four and a half hours of phone use. The battery supports Quick Charge 4+ technology, which gives you 60% in thirty minutes.
ZTE Axon 20 5G is priced at $ 400.
The ZTE Axon 20 5G is the first phone in the world to include front camera technology at the bottom of the screen, and this feature, along with the price of the phone, is the main selling point of the phone. Other than that, you will find a phone with a usual design, rugged performance, and an affordable battery.
