Time to Walk provides inspiring stories for Fitness + subscribers

May fire a company Apple will soon have a podcast-like feature called Time to Walk for Fitness + subscribers and watch owners.

The feature, which appeared in the watchOS 7.3 candidate beta, is described in the release notes as an audio experience in the Workout app where guests share inspiring stories on the walk.

Apple released a promotional video about the new feature then I pulled itAnd, a screenshot from the video showed that Time to Walk is launching with a 30-minute story by Canadian singer Shawn Mendes.

It also includes stories from American singer-songwriter Dolly Parton, NBA striker Draymond Green, and American actress (Uzo Aduba), best known for the role of (Suzanne Warren) Suzanne Warren in the Netflix series Orange Is the New Black.

Fitness + subscribers should be able to open the Workout app on Apple Watch, choose Time to Walk, and choose from an audio story to listen to as they walk, and the feature will likely extend to wheelchair users.

While Time to Walk settings began appearing weeks ago in previous betas of watchOS 7.3 and iOS 14.4, the stories have yet to be accessed, and the feature should be turned on when software updates are publicly released.

A new option can be launched on the Apple Watch to ensure new stories from Time to Walk are added to the Workout app as they become available.

Stories are downloaded when your Apple Watch is connected to the charger and near the paired iPhone, and they are automatically deleted when you finish a workout.

This feature appears to have been implemented for podcast or music, but there’s no doubt that Apple is keen to offer exclusive features to boost Fitness +.

The $ 10 / month service, which requires an Apple Watch, launched in September with a library of workout videos with new content introduced every week from a team of trainers hired by Apple.

The library of exercise videos covers yoga, dance, core exercises, strength training, high-intensity interval, treadmill running, rowing and indoor cycling.

Fitness + integrates personal metrics, such as the heart rate of the Apple Watch, to motivate users during the crucial moments of a workout.

WatchOS 7.3 is scheduled to arrive in the coming days, with the launch of the Time to Walk feature at the same time.
