The upcoming Galaxy M12 appears to be a far cry from its predecessor, as it offers a more modern design with a square camera module and two colors on the back.

And unlike the Galaxy M11, which includes a capacitive fingerprint scanner installed on the back, the Galaxy M12 features a side-mounted scanner built into the power button.
The images also reveal that the device includes a 3.5 mm headphone jack and a USB Type-C port.
The images do not reveal any specifications of the device, but the leak claims that the device comes with a flat screen measuring 6.5 inches.

The previously leaked images from the 91mobile site do not match the new images, because they do not include the final two colors on the back.
The display specifications shared by 91mobile also do not match the information that OnLeaks also shared.
According to 91mobile information, the Galaxy M21 comes with a 6.7-inch screen with a bump.
The report also claims that the Galaxy M12 is currently under development at Samsung’s facility in India, and is using the model number SM-M127F.
One of the photos shows the model number engraved on the back with the model number SM-F127G.
This indicates that the device could be launched as Galaxy F12 in some regions.
Samsung launched the Galaxy M series in India last year to compete with Chinese manufacturers, such as Xiaomi and Realme, in the low and mid-priced phones segment.
The Galaxy M10 and Galaxy M20 were the first phones in the series, followed by the Galaxy M30, Galaxy M30s and Galaxy M40 year-round.
Given that all of these devices are targeting different price categories, Samsung has been busy releasing updated models for each device this year.
The company has so far launched the Galaxy M11, Galaxy M21 and Galaxy M31 phones, to succeed the Galaxy M10, Galaxy M20 and Galaxy M30s respectively.
