Tesla unveils the redesigned Model S car

Revealed a company Tesla unveiled the redesign of the Model S for the first time in recent years Launch it In 2012.

The new version of the car arrives in March, and features a renewed exterior design, a streamlined interior, and a more powerful engine option that allows it to travel 840 kilometers and move from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in less than two seconds.

And this speed is achieved in part thanks to a very small drag coefficient, which puts it on par, or perhaps even ahead of electric cars, such as the Lucid Air or the Porsche Taycan Turbo.

Tesla claims the new version of the Model S with an updated engine is the fastest production car ever.

Tesla’s Model X is also getting some touches in terms of an exterior and interior update, and there is a release with a new engine, although the Model X update is not widely expected.

The new version of the Model S car has some light updates on the exterior of the car, including the standard large glass roof, but the biggest visual change is inside.

Tesla has canceled the vertical touchscreen in favor of another one like the Model 3 and Model Y, despite having much smaller bezels.

There’s also a U-shaped butterfly steering wheel, much like what we’ve seen on the next second-generation Roadster, and a screen behind the center console for rear-seat passengers.

And unlike the Model 3 and Model Y, the new version of the Model S still features a screen behind the wheel.

The new version starts at $ 79,990 for the long-range version with a twin engine, which has a range of 665 kilometers.

$ 119,000 could be spent on the version equipped with the new, more powerful Plaid engine, which has a range of 630 km and travels from 0 to 100 km / h in less than two seconds.

The version with the new, more powerful Plaid Plus engine, which has a range of 840 km, starts at $ 139,000.

The Plaid and Plaid Plus versions have top speeds of 320 km / h with the right tires, according to Tesla CEO (Elon Musk) Elon Musk.

The updated Model S comes with a chip-supported infotainment system capable of processing 10 teraflops of processing power, allowing passengers to play games, such as: The Witcher 3 and Cyberpunk 2077, with wireless joystick support.

Rumors of a Model S redesign have circulated for years, and leaks about the new interior surfaced in 2018, but Musk denied the idea in 2019 when he said: There is no updated Model S, instead, Tesla is constantly making minor improvements to the car.

This began to change after Tesla began testing the new engine in 2019, which it called Plaid.

At the Battery Day event in September 2020, Musk said: The Plaid engine is coming to the Model S in late 2021, and aside from the basic specifications, and adding the car to its website, Tesla said nothing about the updated design.
