Samsung launches the Galaxy M42 5G
This device is a refurbished version of the Galaxy A42 5G that was launched in October 2020 globally. The changes are to increase the RAM capacity.
The phone comes with a Snapdragon 750G SoC and has a quad-camera on the back with a 48-megapixel main lens.
Samsung has equipped the device with the Samsung Knox security system and has a waterdrop-shaped bump in the front, and the phone supports NFC technology that also enables Samsung Pay.
The Galaxy M42 5G offers a 6.6-inch Super AMOLED Infinity-U screen with HD + resolution.
The device includes 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to a terabyte using a microSD card slot.
The back of the phone contains a quad-camera with a 48-megapixel ISOCELL GM2 sensor, along with an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens, a 5-megapixel macro sensor, and a 5-megapixel depth sensor.
The Galaxy M42 5G camera is equipped with features that include Single Take, Night Mode, Hyperlapse, Super Slow Motion, Scene Optimiser and Flaw Detection, and there is a 20-megapixel camera on the front.
The Galaxy M42 5G contains a 5000 mAh battery with 15W fast charging support.
The phone provides 36 hours of talk time, 22 hours of web surfing and 34 hours of video playback on a single charge, and features Samsung Knox and Samsung Pay security.
The phone comes in black and gray, and sales start on May 1, where the 6/128 GB version is sold for $ 295, while the 8/128 GB version is sold for $ 322.
