Announced a company (Realme) Realme today, Friday, announced the world’s first SLED 4K Smart TV that features the new SLED technology.
She said The Chinese company: The new TV is not ready for sale yet, but it will be an alternative to TVs that contain Quantum Dot or QLED screens.
The new SLED 4K Smart TV comes in a measure of 55 inches. Its screen has the advantage of providing 108 percent of the NTSC color spectrum, but it is able to keep the amount of blue light under control.
With regard to the new SLED technology, it is an advanced version of the well-known liquid crystal technology LCD, which is characterized by that it comes with a white backlight and is then fed through RGB filters (filters) to create the three colors that normally form the image, which are: red, green, and blue. And because it is a type of LCD technology, it comes with polarizers, and a liquid crystal layer.
The technology is also different from QLED, which starts with a blue backlight and uses quantum dots that absorb blue light and emit red or green. Then the LCD layer helps control the amount of light that passes through each pixel.
The goal of the technique is not only to obtain any red, green and blue light, but to obtain the optimum wavelength for each color. This helps provide a wider color range and improves overall image quality.
Realme believes that SLED is a better approach to solving LCD technology problems compared to QLED technology. It seems that the company aims to compete with companies such as: Samsung and OnePlus, who have QLED TVs.
The Realme C17 offers a 6.5-inch IPS LCD screen with a resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels, with a refresh rate of 90Hz. It is protected by Gorilla Glass.
The phone – which weighs 188 grams and comes with a thickness of 8.9 mm – offers 6 GB of random access memory (RAM), 128 GB of internal storage memory, with the ability to expand via external memory cards (microSD).
