You can now get a 1440p screen with a fast refresh rate and with Nvidia’s built-in variable refresh rate technology, G-Sync.
1080p and 4K were until recently the only two options for viewing via gaming laptops, although 1440p is becoming an increasingly popular choice among PC gamers looking for a new standalone screen.
And high-end Blade laptops are equipped with Nvidia’s new GeForce RTX 3000 series graphics chips, so most games should be easy to run on the 1440-pixel HD display.
The Blade 15 Advanced (Razer’s name for the most powerful model) with GeForce RTX 3070 and QHD display with G-Sync costs up to $ 2,500.
And you can customize this model with a special variant of GeForce RTX 3080 containing 16GB of VRAM.
The larger Blade Pro 17 starts at $ 2,300 and will feature GeForce RTX 3060.
Razer still uses GTX 16-series chipsets to make the Blade 15 the least expensive, starting at $ 1,500, and it will be equipped with a GeForce GTX 1660 Ti GPU, and it is customizable with a GeForce RTX 3070 GPU for $ 2,000.
All models are available for initial order at the Razer online store, with the Blade 15 and Blade Pro 17 arriving first on January 26, and the Blade 15 Advanced arriving in February.
The company is committed to the 10th generation Intel Comet Lake processors for these Blade laptops.
The lower-cost configurations of the Blade 15 provide a hex-core Core i7-10750H processor, while the Blade 15 Advanced and Blade Pro 17 both feature an octa-core Core i7-10875H processor.
All models feature Thunderbolt 3 ports and an HDMI 2.1 output Newly added 4K resolution up to 120fps.
Regardless of these two ports, the rest of the ports differ depending on the computer you want. The Blade 15 comes with an Ethernet port, while the Blade 15 Advanced models do not have an Ethernet port.
However, Razer makes up for this with a UHS-III SD card reader, Windows Hello IR webcam, support for 20V fast charging via USB-C, and support for Bluetooth 5.2 and Wi-Fi 6.
Another noteworthy change to Razer is RAM and user-replaceable storage space.
Razer added a second M.2 slot (up to 4 TB of total storage capacity across both slots) so you can add storage space to what you have instead of having to replace it.
