Launched a company French car manufacturer Peugeot’s latest electric bike model, known as Peugeot eC01 Crossover.
The French Cycles Peugeot is one of the most popular manufacturers in the world of bicycles, and although it is famous for its cars, it started its activities in 1882 with the manufacture of bicycles.
The company recently made great strides in the electric bike market, with the launch of 6 crossover models late last year.
The Peugeot eC01 Crossover joins an ever-expanding family that demonstrates the brand’s interest in diversification by exploring the booming electric bike sector, which has seen a strong boost since the outbreak of the pandemic.
Designed and manufactured in France, the bike features a classic upright seating position to give riders an elevated view of the road.
The 57mm (2.25) Schwalbe Hurricane tires help the bike navigate obstacles better than the narrow tires usually found on electric city-only bikes.
And the front suspension fork ensures that the bike can handle the ride tougher than typical urban electric bikes.
It also has a LED headlamp and rear, mudguards, luggage rack, with a modern and discreet design, and a battery built into the frame allows it to enjoy a more beautiful look.
The Peugeot eC01 Crossover features the mid-wheel drive Bosch Performance CX engine paired with a removable 500-watt BOSCH PowerTube battery in the frame.
The company claims the battery is sufficient for a range of 120 kilometers (75 miles) with each charge, when used at the lowest auxiliary level.
The drivetrain is rated at up to 63 Nm of torque, and Peugeot has paired the 10-speed Shimano Deore transmission to ensure occupants have a wide range of gears to apply this torque to the ground across various slopes.
Shimano MT201 hydraulic disc brakes are standard to increase stopping power while also reducing maintenance.
It is considered the Peugeot eC01 Crossover electric bike available Now at € 3,199 including VAT, or roughly $ 3,900, it comes in three sizes S, M and L.
