HMD Global launches the Nokia 5.4 phone for 189 euros

Communication a company HMD Global made its entry into the mid-range phones sector with Nokia 5.4, which is the latest phone in its lineup supported by the Snapdragon 662 processor, quad camera and 4000 mAh battery.

Four years have passed since Nokia’s return to the smartphone market after the end of its contract with Microsoft.

HMD Global is now introducing Nokia 5.4 as the latest addition to the Nokia 5 series, as it brings the design called Nordic that appeared in Nokia 3.4 and Nokia 2.4.

Nokia 5.4 brings many visual changes compared to Nokia 5.3, as there is a perforated screen now for the 16-megapixel front camera.

The phone has an IPS LCD screen measuring 6.39 inches with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels.

The back features a circular hole for the camera, consisting of a 48-megapixel primary lens, a 5-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and two 2-megapixel sensors each for macro shots and depth data.

The design on the back of the phone has not changed significantly, but HMD Global offers the smartphone two new colors inspired by the Scandinavian skyline – blue and purple.

The smartphone features a variety of new camera features, such as: a 24-fps cinematic video mode with an aspect ratio of 21: 9.

Plus 60fps Full HD recording, Electronic Image Stabilization, OZO Spatial Audio Recording plus wind noise cancellation.

The phone works with the Snapdragon 662 processor, and comes with 4 or 6 GB of RAM, and the capacitive fingerprint scanner is located at the bottom for the camera sensors.

In terms of storage, the smartphone offers 64 and 128 GB options, as well as a microSD card slot up to 512 GB.

The device includes a 4000 mAh battery that supports 10-watt charging, and the company promotes the phone as working for two days on a single charge.

Nokia 5.4 runs Android 10 operating system, and is affiliated with Android One from Google, and it guarantees to get at least two Android system updates with security updates for three years.

The Nokia 5.4 is available in Europe at a price starting at 189 euros ($ 230) for the 4/64 GB model, and will soon be available in other markets, including India, Africa, the Middle East and the Americas.

In addition to Nokia 5.4, HMD Global announced new accessories that include an 18W fast car charger and an 18W fast wall charger.
