Blackmagic Design has announced a new version of DaVinci Resolve video editor, which comes with hundreds of new features and improvements.

The wheels can also include controls for exposure and color saturation, giving you the ability to make fine adjustments as needed.

And Blackmagic Design’s upgraded software comes with improved audio features as well, including a new analyzer tool that can detect individual words, rhythms or sound effects.

The tool marks individual words, rhythms or sound effects as vertical lines in the waveform to make it easier to identify specific parts of the video for audio editing.

The trial version includes support for the new M1 chip from Apple, which means that new Mac users can use the original version of the main movie-making tool.

DaVinci Resolve is one of the industry standard applications for color grading, but it has gotten much more than that in recent years.

The app also includes a video editor, graphics tools and an audio editor, plus most of its features are available for free.

Aside from announcing a new version of the video editor, Blackmagic Design has also introduced control unit DaVinci Resolve to unlock speed.
