Apple Watch no longer has a charger connector

Lately, a lot of rumors have spread about Apple launching the next iPhones without a charger inside the box, and we don’t know yet if that is true or not. But during today’s Apple event, the company gave us a clear mark; It revealed its new smart watch including the Watch Series 6, which will come without the traditional 5W USB charger cable inside the box.

However, if you do want to purchase the charger, Apple is selling it separately for $ 19, and the watch still comes with the magnetic charging cable that you’ll need to power it. Of course, if you previously owned an iPhone or Apple Watch, you can use their charger for your new watches.

The reason behind removing the charger, according to Apple, was to help the company achieve its environmental sustainability goals. This is a point for the company, as manufacturing millions of these cables and placing them in the boxes of all phones or watches that are sold is a great burden on the environment, and significantly reducing the number of chargers that are manufactured can have a positive impact on the environment.

It could also be Apple’s profit boost, given that a single charger would cost $ 19.

In any case, there is no official confirmation of Apple taking this step with the iPhone phones, although all expectations indicate that, but we will have to wait a few weeks for Apple to reveal it on its own.
